Rotrarct club of mundra was established on 14-7-1993, first presidnet and seceratary was rtr ashwinbhai mehta and rtr noorali khoja accordingly. Rotaract club of mundra continiously participates in all the activity and programme by rotaract district since 1993. Rotaract club of mundra has doing many project on continue basis like blood donation camp, fun fair, dhuleti surghas, janamastmi, day-night cricket tournament, student carrier programme etc. Rotaract originally began as a Rotary International youth program in 1968 at Charlotte North Rotary Club. "Rotaract" stands for "Rotary in Action", although the name originally comes from a combination of "Rotary" and "Interact" (International + Action), the high school level program created by Rotary International in 1962.
Rotaract is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young men and women ages 18 to 30. Rotaract focuses on the development of young adults as leaders in their communities and workplaces.
Rotaract clubs are either community or university based, and they’re sponsored by a local Rotary club. This makes them true “partners in service” and key members of the family of Rotary.
The purpose of Rotaract is to provide an opportunity for young men and women to enhance the knowledge and skills that will assist them in personal development, to address the physical and social needs of their communities, and to promote better relations between all people worldwide through a framework of friendship and service.
13th March is celebrated world over as the World Rotaract Day as on this day the first Rotaract Club received its official charter.
